Revival

We began Revival services in early February and it has turned into one of the most dynamic moves of God that I have experienced. From people coming earlyto pray and staying late to enjoy the lingering presence of the Holy Ghost. Numerous people have been healed of sicknesses and as of the time of this blog 26 people have received the Holy Ghost with the majority of those receiving the Holy Ghost for the first time. We had once lady visit on a Wednesday night and receive the Holy Ghost. She brought her son to be prayed for that night due to chronic upper respitatory infections and he was healed that night. She brought her sister and mother back the following weekend and both of them received the Holy Ghost.
During a ladies prayer meeting early in the revival Sis. Boyett was alone praying in the church when she looked up and noticed the front door was wide open with a bright light shining in. The following day she told me, Bro. Pierce, and Bro. Wheeler and the next day Bro. Wheeler prophesied that the “Door was open” to this city. Since then the majority of visitors to every service have received the Holy Ghost. The doors to our city have opened and this is evident by each service something wonderful happening. God impressed me to go to Little Rock, AR. during this revival to pray for someone sick with cancer and Bro. Pierce and Bro. Mahaney went also and we prayed for the man and God filled him with the Holy Ghost and filled his brother with the Holy Ghost also. The Lord has opened a door that no man can shut. For such a time as this God has called us to rise up and be the vessels that he has called us to be. God is calling us to step out from the ordinary and into the extraordinary. There is a supernatural, vibrant, Spirit-led life that God has equipped us the lead. We are no longer the church on the other side of the track but the God called church that is impacting our city with miracles, signs, and wonders. A few weeks ago Bro. Pierce preached a sermon about crossing over Jordan and the fact that we have been to this spot before. We have stood at this spot before but this time we have crossed over into a new place, a new dimension in the Spirit. God has elevated us as a church. We are the light in our city. It is time for church to be more that a Sunday and Wednesday gathering but a way of life that takes place in between when we gather as a body. Mircales and signs can take place in our homes. People can received the Holy Ghost in our homes. We have stepped out of the ordinary and into a true apostolic way.

Celebrating 55 years

FPC of Arcadia is celebrating 55 years of Jesus name, Holy Ghost, Apostolic, power.  The church was founded after revival services by T.W. Barnes.  Bro. Barnes, literally went from door to door and preached and prayed people through to the baptism of the Holy Ghost on their porches, door steps, and front yards. This church and the power thereof did not begin in a closet but openly and publicly as God moved through this city.  It is openly and publicly that we celebrate 55 years.  The same God who reigned 55 years ago at our founding is gloriously reigning in might and power today.  Hebrews declares that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  He is the Lord and he changes not.  Let’s declare it, live it, and believe it.  Rev. Progress

August 7, 2008 by dunderwood

We are very excited of the progress that we are making as a church.  This website is a major part of positioning ourselves for the future.  We continue to make significant strides forward and I remain optimistic about the future.

As I preached last Sunday, “In Spite Of” adversity and obstacles were are progressing.  I do appreciate all the prayers and support of all of our church family and friends.  The support by prayers are the key to Morgan still being with us.  We will continue to pray and bombard heaven with prayers as this is the key to all great successes.   Donnie Underwood
